Hello new to the forums. Put a turky in the smoke in an electric masterbuilt. I put in in around 10:30 an internal temp is already 158 all the videos showed 20-30 min per pound? it is a 12 lb turkey?
If I did the math correct at 20 mins a pound a 12 pound bird should take 4 hours but most of the videos say 30 mins per pound and thought it would take longer at 225F
You may be experiencing the problem with cooking by/to time. Food gets done when it gets done.
Looks to me like you're 3+ hours in, so like your temp, your lower end of 4 hrs isn't too far away. Count your blessings you didn't get one that wants to take 8 hrs.
