There is no temperature control with the “Smoke” setting. This timed cycle setting for “Smoke” is a factory pre-set recommended by Traeger Pellet Grills to develop a “Smoking” temperature of 150 to 180 degrees F.
You’ll get a bit more smoke running your grill on its smoke setting then you would at 180* degrees. To add some extra smoke, run it on the smoke setting for the first hour, using quality 100% wood type pellets and then bump the temp up to your desired cook temp to finish your cook. If you find the smoke flavor profile is not enough, you can always add a smoke tube or consider a Smoke Generator as options. Good luck.
