Steak and potatoes is one of the best! Tell me about your cold salad. I have a soft spot for cold pasta salads next to my mash potatoes.

the cold salad is one of my wife's mothers recipe its a macaroni salad

bell peppers orange and yellow only

pickles

onions

tomato

salt pepper

You need to salt all the veggies while the macaroni cooks

we like to use the small shells because they keep the juices better

mayo i like the bestfoods/helmans and a dash of mustard

Just did some steaks on the grill. Put them in smoker for an hour on low heat then on a hot grill.

Be careful.  If you get good at this, people are going to start asking for instruction.

I particularly love my steaks marinated like you do but rarely do steaks anymore.  Love my bbq more.

Did you do anything special for the corn or just roast it?  I've found two ways I love to do ears of corn.  One is to pull back the husk and dip in garlic butter, put back the husk and let it do it's thing on the grill . . . turning now and then.

The other way is to boil the ears and cut into third (portions).  Frozen corn works super in this regard and is always less expensive.

"Spice" it right with a bit of your rub, garlic, whatever.  You can't put on too much . . . let it sit a spell before the big event.

Around serving time, toss them into a deep fryer for a minute.  Watch them close.  You might want to appoint your brother Larry to take charge of this.  Let these critters brown some, but if Larry asks for another beer, double check his work.  Don't let the corn get too ugly.   Just a bit of ugly brown is more than enough.

Larry's the man.  Let him do this and you will admire his taste in corn forever.

Enjoy your meal.  I'm sure the corn will be fantastic.
