Being a teacher we often look forward to snow days. However this year I have not been as it has been pretty mild until last night with a foot of snow. Was hoping to avoid anymore to have a long summer. But if I had to be home then why not make some Venison stew.
Browning the venison in batches before putting in a bowl with some flour and salt and pepper.
Meat all browned and carrots and potatoes chopped (Usually use parsnips but didn't have any so the potatoes got the go ahead today).
Everybody into the bath with some other herbs, red wine, and beef broth.
After an hour of simmering. We are just about done. (Took the picture before the peas were added).
All set for the cold weather predicted the next few days.
