Well we had a nice weekend planned, smoked ribs taday an had a nice family supper. Tammarraw we planned a nice little family get tagether, grill some meat, nice sides ta go with em, smoke a fatty an a bratty, some pigs in a canoe, chicken wings an such. Then a nice fire in the chimnea an a few adult beverages.
Been cleanin up my wood area, restackin smokin wood an spare lumber. Was figurine on just relaxin on Monday.
Well all this just wen't up in smoke an not the good kind either! Our oldest son in in the Iowa National Guard an he just phoned ta tell us his unit has been activated to go to Louisiana fer flood duty! They got a rather shabby reception here durin the last flood. Hope the folks down there appreciate them boys comin down.
So, I guess we will still keep the plans inplace, but, it sure ain't gonna be near as much fun, knor will monday be relaxin. I know he has ta do it, it's his job, but he has ta go overeas again in November of 09, we was kinda countin on every holiday ta spend tagether.

These will be the first wings I've done, so ifin they come out decent, will post some Q-View of em. Also, gonna try addin sausage ta the canoes this time.
