I recently bought a whole beef, anyway I have quite a bit of round steak I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas what I could do with them. I have a gas grill and an electric elcheapo smoker.

Round steaks I pound the crap out of and grill on the bbq. I get enough smoke flavour from them because I smoked my BBQ sauce when I made it.

Round roasts I smoke at 230f in the normal manner.

chicken fried steak-pounded first-round makes great jerky also-or maybe swiss steak-thin sliced stir fried with veggies over rice-I grew up with round-so many things to do with it.Oh and sure u can rub it and in the smoker.

Mrs Rivet usually dredges her round steaks in milk then flour and oven roasts them~ she says they cook really fast, since they are thin. I do know they taste great and I like some country gravy over them sometimes.

I'd say marinate them in a bit if cheap red wine for a while, or maybe apple cider vinegar them grill over mesquite and make some serious fa-jeeetas, as desertlites said!
