Whats going on!!  My name is Jake and I am new to smoking meats.  I recently visited a friend in Richmond, VA that I served in the Marines with and he smoked me sausages and prime rib.  IT WAS THE BEST TASTING MEAT EVER!!!  Ever since I tasted the meat I wanted to start learning how to smoke. 

I purchased a Char-Griller approx five years ago...the grill is still in great condition, however, today I bought a side fire box and some mesquite and hickory chunks.  I was told by my friend to start learning how to smoke with chicken and turkey. 

Anyway, I hope to learn a lot from the forums and to make good friends.  As always, Semper Fi and be safe.  Jake
