Pro Q refuelling question

Hi all got a question
If doing a long smoke and hit the point where the temp is dropping with all vents open assuming the bqiquettes are spent
What's the best way to refuel?

Tap the smokers leg a few times to drop the ash into the pan. Add a lit chimney of coals through your access door using some type of narrow trough.

I couldn't think or find anything so took the stack off!
I did get some temp swings for a while though. Although was more of a half lit chimney than fully lit
