Greetings from Portland, Oregon! My name is Adrian and I've finally moved back to civilization after cutting my chops on a propane smoker in Bethel, Alaska the last few years! As a reward to myself for having to grill and smoke on Hoth (Any one else try turkey on Thanksgiving at -20 ambient?), I bought a beautiful Green Mountain Grill Jim Bowie for Christmas and we're loving it! We already use it more than our regular oven!
Previous smoking/grilling experience includes wearing out a few Weber Classics and a nifty propane smoker designed by a local Yu'pik Native Alaskan friend! As is tradition, I gave my smoker to a friend in Bethel, but my thoughts were quickly turning to what I'd be getting for myself upon returning home to Portland! I was immediately drawn to the ease and consistency of pellet smoking and after reading about GMG's renowned customer service on these forums, I was sold!
