Pitt Boss 1000XL from Menards

Just ordered one but have not picked it up yet. Looked like a more full featured one and largest size compared to any other retailers. But curious if it is a knockoff compared to others or a solid deal. Got it for $579 at Menards.

Any comments or experience on this for a newbie to pellet grills?

About the same as I paid for the 1000SC a couple years ago. Look like the same unit updated. Only thing I dislike is the grease trap is a tray not a bucket. To my knowledge there is liner for the tray. Kinda a pain to clean. Besides that I love the grill.

I have a 1000t from tractor supply, runs good the only thing I would say is get yourself a smoke tube for extra smoke , I also took that piece of thin sheet metal on the bottom of smoker out I seem to get steadier temps without it.
