Tried to find the recipe I was using last year but I'll have to dig further.
I did regular and bread & butter jalapenos.
I hate B&B pickles but the japs were incredible, though the method I used took a warm jar, packed with the ingredients and boil the brine then pour over the japs and tighten the lid, this will create its own seal and then I would just store them in the fridge. Nice crisp japs everytime.
I'll look more for the recipes if interested.
