Workout this morning, harvest our meager plum crop, mow the lawn, all in 101 degree heat. For some reason, I wasn't into fussy cooking tonight.
I had a hankering for sweet and salty. Grilled teriyaki chicken fit the bill. I threw a pack of boneless, skinless chicken thighs and a breast in Yeri Yeri Teriyaki sauce for a couple of hours. A few fingerling potatoes tossed in evoo and home grown garlic in the toaster oven and a quick sauté of homegrown peas with garlic, a dash of white wine and a dash of the good evoo filled out the plate.
Just what the doctor ordered.
