Hello from Nashville, TN.  I just bought my first smoker, a Brinkmann Gourmet Charcoal Smoker & Grill, and I will be using it for the first time tomorrow.  I just found this forum while researching the best way to smoke a whole chicken.  I am sure that I will be referring to this forum a lot in the coming months.

Welcome I am new to the forum . I have been smoking for a year addicted after my first smoke which was pork ribs rubbed with store BBQ rub came out awesome . The next batch not so well but hey that is smoking to me right now not constant . But always good

Thanks to all of you for the welcome.  I smoked my first chicken yesterday, and I've got a lot of learning to do.  Despite numerous articles that I read on the internet warning me that you do not need a lot of smoke for chicken, I still managed to over smoke it somehow.  The learning curve has begun!
