For my family game night get togethers I always do a brisket, but I am wanting to change things up a little and do beef ribs next time so how many ribs per person should I cook? There are usually 10 family members over for game night.
This was a first for me just a couple weeks back, just my wife and I and there were no leftovers. Plenty, maybe a little too much but it was sooooooo good I couldn't stop. Beef back ribs with just S&P.
Good luck with your ribs, I suspect from my experience it won't be your last time.
Beef Ribs have turned out to be one of our favorites. Local Brookshire's sell the "Shiners" as I've learned they are called. $2.59/lbs and they're just awesome. Those ribs look very tasty.
Beef side ribs are the only way to go. They take about 10 hours but are very very rich and filling. Taste like pot roast on steroids. Back ribs don’t have any meat on them and usually and are hard to get tender. Korean Short ribs are tasty also and only take about 2 hours. There the thin cut ribs with 3 bones, for 10 people I’d do a 4 or 5 bone rack and couple other appetizers like pork shots, wings and smoked Mac and cheese, there so rich it’s hard to eat a bunch of it when fresh smoked
WOW. Those look killer Moto. Beef ribs are crazy good. I keep it simple SPG and the garlic rocks on them. Hard to say how much you need but if they are skimpy like what I see you easily need a rack per. I need to find a good source and if I do we'll probably never eat pork ribs again.
For me the beef ribs are way to rich right off the smoker. I prefer the pork ribs myself and there about 1/2 the price and almost half the cooking time but it’s definitely fun to switch things up every now and then. The back ribs are much more edible for me but those can be rich also but not worth the effort because all the meat gets scooped out of the bone cutting as much prime rib off as they can not leaving much meat. I do check on them at the store just to see if a rookie left some meat on them lol
