I figure there has to be a few pellet stove owners out there.

I just bought and installed this puppy. http://www.quadrafire.com/Products/S...let-Stove.aspx

The manual said that there will be some fumes during the initial burn in and it 'may be bothersome to some individuals'. It has visible fumes coming out of it. They came out of the heat exchanger area, not the exaust area so I'm not worried about combustion fumes. I ran it for a while with the windows open as the manual suggested. After it calmed down and the fumes stopped I closed the windows. About 20 minutes later it set off the fire alarm. It did NOT set off the CO alarm.

Is this pretty normal for burn in, and how long does the burn in last?

I'm going to turn it on today again, but I'll need to wait until everyone up in case the fire alarm goes off again.
