Hello all fellow meat smokers,
I am new to your site under TexasGrillMan; my name is Russ Chapman and I live in Flower Mound, Texas just north of Dallas. I have been an outdoor cook for 34 years and have used almost every kind of grill/smoker you can think of including open pit. I enjoy grilling and smoking and have never looked at is as a chore but as a privilege to cook in the great outdoors. Living in Texas, I do cook year around, but the coldest I have ever cooked in is about 20F. We enjoy beef, pork, chicken, venison, fish, and game birds (dove, quail, duck). I look forward to getting great recipes and smoking techniques and maybe sharing some that may be useful and tasty.
