i am in the middle of making my first smoker
i have almost collected everything i need to start my build
i am making a home made smoke daddy style smoke generator into an upright 47kg propane gas cylinder,it will be heated by an electric 1800w stove element in the base controlled by an oven thermostat. a water/ drip tray will be 3-4 inches above the element and 3 food racks above that. it will have a door to access all racks and the water tray, the door will be hinged with a 1/2 inch nomex strip to seal it around the edges.
i intend to make my own bacon ,beer can chicken ,brisket and smoked pastrami and i hope be following some recipes from this forum
