Hey all - new member here. wife just picked me up a MES 30 for Xmas, and this seems to be the place to be for any information on cooking in these setups.
I have never smoked meat before, but have consumed my fair share at festivals and BBQ joints. I have to say after doing a couple of butts and some ribs.. why the heck didnt I start doing this sooner!! This stuff is awesome!
My name is Chris and I'm from Waterford MI - about an hour from Detroit. Just a weekend hobbyist, kill about 4 tanks on the grill every year cooking BBQ ( yeah propane, it's just easier when you're in a hurry and I can still put in wood chips and fllvorings ) My wife surprised me with a MES 30 for Christmas, and I am really enjoying it and learning a lot from these forums
Hope to be able to contribute as I experiment and come up with creations... edible or not :)
