Hi, new to this forum. Finally finished fabrication yesterday. Now I'm ready to season and start cooking.
My question: I had the inside and outside sand blasted. Theres a bit of flash rust in the fire box and the smoke chamber.

Do i still need to sand it down some more before i season with peanut oil?

Will the fire somehow burn out some of the rust?

Need some insight. Thanks guys

Coat it with o\oil on the inside or throw some fatty chicken thighs in there and cook at 325F.

Your good to go.

Very minimal rust, don't worry about it
