I'm looking at getting a new smoker to make mostly beef jerky.  Is this a good unit for this purpose?

I'm sure i will do other meat smoking but the main use will be Beef Jerky.

Thanks

I have an MES 40 and it's great for jerky, snack sticks, summer sausage, etc. Also perfect for cold smoking. The only drawback is at temps below 180* it doesn't make much if any smoke and so I would recommend one of these http://www.amazenproducts.com/Default.asp

Here's some jerky and snack sticks I've done on it

I've smoked all kinds of cheese and recently did homemade kielbasa.

That all looks SOO good!

I am inspired to try some of that.  I love jerky AND beef stick thingies.  Home-made would be great.

I've done jerky myself, but never a beef stick of any sort.

Bravo!
