Is anyone using any other free service to post pictures? I have bee working with photo bucket for over an hour with out success.

I got the pictures up there but I cant, edit, add titles, move them etc. just says it is saving, and never completes.

I logged out and tried again, the site just seems like it is so slow.

I quit using photobucket a couple years ago. Went to smugmug a paid service...been happy ever since. Think I can send you discount link if you are interested...just PM me.

It appears that Photobucket has and still is under a revamp. Why? Who knows, but I understand the frustration. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I got an email today from photobucket saying to come and try out their new format and be wowed by all the super new changes. I managed to wade thru the new stuff. It has always been a difficult website to navigate around in IMO.

But it gets the job done.

I use PictureTrail. I've used it for years with no problems--they have a "one click" option for copying url's into a forum posting. I've done so on this board three times in the last two days with no problems.

Here's a link to two albums created for sharing photos on SMF:

I'm sure there are other free sites out there that work as good or better. But, I've got no complaints with PictureTrail. You can access their home page from my link as well.

I've used Picturetrail for years also, I tried photobucket but always went back to Picturetrail...to me it was just easier to navigate

Photobucket is the most user friendly if you plan on posting images to any forum. It is not hard to use it's features they are all laid out for you right above your image. If it is slow working it is probably your internet connection and not their site...

All you need do is click on the link at the top of your image to add title, edit, move, share, or delete. I just tried it and it is working just fine, I am running Road Runner Turbo which is the fasted offered by Road Runner so check the speed of your internet connection as that is most likely your problem...

I've always used Shutterfly. It's free and when viewing images, I just right click and "copy" then "paste" the image in the thread. I don't have to resize or anything.

I've used photobucket from day one and the only thing I dislike is that it does seem glacially slow in loading pics. With that sai, it may be 'cause I have dialup

But...try it again and be patient. At least I can hang out in the SMF while it loads with no problems.

Have you followed the tutorial that Paul posted? It is a good one with pics and step by step.

Keep trying.

It appears to me to be the web site. Uploads are about the onloy thing that work at a decent speed. It kept locking up if I resized or moved anything.

I have used it in the past with no problems. I rebooted my laptop tinking it may be an issue with IE and had the same issue. Maybe it was just yesterday. I am using the free version, but if pro is this slow there is no way I'm going to upgrade.

Maybe they were haveing some issues over the weekend. I will try again, but thanks for letting me know the alternatives.

I don't work for nor do they pay me but I have never had a problem with photobucket even when I was on dial up. Here is a photo that took me all of 30 secs to post here. By the way thats a serlion tip roast.

Looks like a good post, the last one I tried to do I got frustrated after an hour because of "wait" time. could be a laptop issue (it is a year old) or a web site issue. either way it did not work like it use to and was frustrating.

I figure I can upload and post some pic's in 30 min. After 1 1/2 hours later I still don't have the pic's posted I have to start wondering.

Mine is instant, I save pics to a flash drive and can access it in real time, no waiting. Not sure what the problem is that your having.

Good luck!

I'll second that! I sure wish that there would be an easier way to capture and post pictures. It sure would make posting Ques more popular. To me it is actually harder to post the pictures than it is to make the food. This is one of the reasons I don't post my Q's
