I just made a batch of your finishing sauce for some pulled meat.....Oh, is it the best over. I thought it might be a little to peppery for me, but it was perfect

!!

(I had to add just a spoonful more of Brown Sugar cause I like it sweeter.

I am getting ready to pour it into an empty bottle from Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce I used awhile back. I think it will have the perfect top for pouring it on if I can take the time to quit picking at the meat and dipping into the saucepan

thanks!!

Lisa,

I agree 100% with your thoughts on how good it is ........ I too up'd the brown sugar measurement. Try his mustard sauce too! You will not be dissapointed.

How did the Sweet Baby Ray squeeze bottle work? The pepper flakes were a little issue for my squeeze bottle untill I cut the tip down to a nub. Now it comes out too fast. Maybe i'll strain the flakes out prior to serving.

For those of us that like it a bit hotter you can store this pre-made in the refrigerator and as time goes on it gets hotter or just mixes up the heat better. Either way it is great and is nice to have it pre-made

hey gofish...........you have a thunderstick?

one of those mixing sticks........couple pulses in the sauce......the flakes get chopped up abit...........if you like to see the flakes.......don't pulse as much..........

werks here.......

the Sweet Baby Ray bottle worked great for me, but I had strained the red pepper flakes first because I thought it might get hotter as it sat, and I didnt want it to get much more hot. But I think the opening would work OK with the flakes. The SBR sauce was just on sale here 10 for 10.00, so I have plenty of bottles to try different things in them :) Next I wil try the Mustard sauce.

Awsome idea ..... I'll tell Mrs Fish it was your idea when I come home w/ another gadget! Thanks for the idea, I like the pepper heat!

Lisa,
Keep me posted on your thoughts. Don't hold back on the simmer time, it reduces down to a great thickness! You'll be pleased I think.
