I can't belieave I am home safe and sound.

Short of a sore groin, 1 slash in each thigh, and looking nasty I was told not to worry. I was told that the actual holes to the arteries are like punture wounds under the salshes.

I had to lay there yesterday on my back for about 5 hours while waiting for some further tests and to get the room ready. That was the worst part of all, I just wanted to get it over.

12 noon arrived and they took me to the OR and the doc was waiting. He said lets getter done, I said ok. I honestly don't remember anything after that.

I woke up about 3 in a daze and had no idea where I was or what happened. I got into my room and got comfortable with very little pain, was dopped up I am sure.

I had taken 2 calls one from Jerry and one from Grampyskids and I think I went to sleep after that. When it was dinner time, no dinner. I asked the nurse and was told I could have soup, oh good I love soup. 1/2 hour later she brings me a tiny bowl of tomato soup, one taste and that was it. I had been fighting nausea all night and figured that acid would make it worse. I opted for some chocalate ice cream instead.

I didn't feel like posting or talking on the phone though my Friend Brad wanted to visit but I wasn't up to it. I just watched Food Network all night. They gave me some pain meds and sleep aids and slept for a good 4 hours when they woke me up at 4 am for some checks. Went to the bathroom and back to sleep.

7 AM they woke me again, looked at my insisions and said I would be going home. I heard breakfast was being served soon. Guess what? A tiny muffin, coffee, yogurt, and cherrios. DAMNNNN. What happened to the bacon and eggs I was hoping for? Just then the Doc came in and I said this is breakfast? He just shook his head and said they would be releasing me later, I thanked him and he left. A short time later a spanish girl came in and asked if I was hungry she could get me some pancakes and eggs, I asked how long would that take?

Nothing seems to happen fast there. She said just a few seconds and she was right. 2 pancakes and some dry scrambled eggs, at least they weren't green,

Oh well better than nothing, ate some and layed back down.

Another tall guy entered and said he was the one to release me and would be doing the paperwork. At about 10 am I was sighing the paperwork, then got dressed.

I left the room at 10:45 and was on my way to pick up Luckie and Jackpot, I was worried about that since they like to jump on my lap. I layed a blanket on my lap and the lady packed my van and put the kids in the passenger seat and they behaved all the way home. I cafefully unpacked as the kids just jumped out on their own.

I was home by 11:45 and settled. Took a call from Caveman, thanks for the support, man.

I now have a taste for some REAL food and am thinking of going to Sam's for a Rotisserie Chicken to smoke tonight, since I am allowed to lift 8 pounds and the chicken is 5.

Ironicaly, I just got in the mail a summary for the Cat Scan, $4,900, it was just a summary. Glad I got insurance that will pay it. My co pay was 600 for that and the operation. WHEEW.

I have to get another cat scan in 2 weeks.
