How do I post pictures?

I am making hot sticks today and would like to post some pictures when they are finished. I use photobucket for other things, can I use this? if so how?

Yes you can use photobucket, however this is much easier IMHO. http://postimage.org/
Just copy and paste the link in your post.

simply make a post in which you upload the pictures, and then copy the address for use here or anywhere else!

Yes, you can use photobucket. Just upload your photos like you usually do, copy the last code (IMG CODE).
Come back to SMF and paste it directly in the text field. Click preview thread to see if it worked.
