I found this good sounding recipe online- https://tasteofartisan.com/quick-hot-smoked-sausage/ and thought I'd give it a try. I used the exact recipe, but added a teaspoon of cayenne, thinking sweet hot is always a good idea. I don't have a garlic press, so I minced it, and you can see chunks in the slices.
For dinner I'm thinking these on toasted outdoor rolls with honey mustard...

Looks good from here! I've done a sausage recipe or two from Taste of Artisan. His recipes are solid.

Had a couple for dinner and they were great. Nice snap, juicy, mild heat, but probably shouldn't have used honey mustard; may have disguised any honey taste in the sausage. Next time, plain.
I'm impressed by how great this simple recipe turned out.

Looks and sounds great, In the rolls with homey mustard sounds good,
I have to get my sausage tools out soon , before the busy summer sets in

I don't think you can go wrong with Victor's recipes at " Taste of Artisan " I have used a couple of his. Especially the potato sausage ones.
