Hey guys!  I live in central Oklahoma.  My husband loves to smoke and he loves to build the smokers to cook with even more!  He has been building them for about 12 years now.  He started out with pipe smokers but now has his own designs.  We are hoping that eventually it will become a full time job. As far as the cooking part goes we still have a lot to learn.  We love experimenting with new ideas and hope to find lots and lots n here.  Looking forward to mingling with everyone.

Love the "Meat Coffin" smoker analogy.  I think you're on to something there--it's all about respecting the meat (i.e., dead animal) and acknowledging that is brilliant.  "Pay Your Last Respects to the Brisket"; "This Cow Did Not Die In Vain", "This Pig Lives On In Our Memory" by providing such a delicious pulled pork sandwich.  I think people appreciate the morose humor.
