I have a Hi Mountain's summer sausage making kit.  I have had it for a while and am getting ready to make

some venison summer sausage.  When I was checking it out and picked up the package of seasoning the

seasoning was hard as a rock.  I need some advice on how to break the seasoning up to put on the meat.

Should I try dissolving it in water or buy a new kit.

I agree with Dave.  I would take a hammer, pan, brick, etc. to it and if that wasn't enough I would put it in the blender :)

I would try drying it out in the oven set @170*. Should evaporate the water and it'll be easy to break the clumps up and return it to a powder. Do not go any hotter though.
