Hey guys, I went down to the chiefs game last week and whenever i'm in kc I have to hit up my favortie bbq spot johnny's. They've got an amazing chicken that I saw them do on diners, drive-ins, and dives, which they smoke at first and finish it with a quick bath in the deep fryer. I'm wanting to try this for myself, my question is would this be unsafe with a brined chicken? I know how a drop of water reacts in a skillet of hot oil, that makes me think a brined chicken could turn into a grenade when frying it. Does anyone have experience or thoughts on this? Thanks!
