hi all, ive been smoking in a old 60's wsm style charcoal smoker for a year now but decided its time to get something bigger and less hands on. after a visit to the local stores looking for a MES i found this masterforge brand at lowe's and noticed it looks exactly the same.

anywho after running a seasoning session i decided to smoke some chicken for the family using bilbos rub.

heres the smoker dont mind the mess around it, spring cleaning starts tomorrow :)

and some chicken prep

checking in on it at 3hours, couldnt find my digital temp gauge so i substituted with this, ran at 205 for 3 hours and then finished at 250 for the last hour. it holds temp quite well, but can go above the integrated gauge so i set 10 degrees below and it works out

final product, smoked with cherry wood. the meat just fell off of the bones and the flavor was exquisite.

doing a brisket this weekend to test a nice long cook and smoke generation of this unit.
