Hello,

Long time lurker, first time poster here with a question.

My main smoker of is a 22" Webber Smokey Mountain R2-D2 unit, I've had that for 6 years and it's great. Recently I've been thinking about getting a pellet grill for when I want to start a smoke late at night for next day's lunch, or even cooking up some corn bread while I'm out grilling a Tri Tip on my Char Griller 5050. I don't need big, but I want something that'll allow me to do a slab of ribs with out cutting them, or a briscut if that is what I desire.

Is there any feedback on the Pit Boss 3 Vertical that you have to share?

Also, the water pan looks a bit small, does it last a while? Or can I put a small AL pan on the lower level to sustain a long smoke?

Thanks in advance and please find the obligatory food porn attached

I bought my son a #5 about 3 years or so, has worked very well so I would think the 3 would be dependable also, not sure on the size though, have had my PB for closing in on 4 years with nothing other than a bad probe .
