Hello all, I am going to turn a fridge into a cold only smoker.  Do I need to remove all the plastic inside and replace with SS?  Will the air inlets like Pops 1" ge sufficient?  Should I be alright with a 2" exhaust?  I will be using an AMNS for the smoke and no heating elements.  I have only seen Pops mini fridge smoker here for cold smoke and it appears that the plastic inside was left intact.  Thanks in advance for the advice.  Steve

I'm not an expert, but I don't see why not. As long as you don't get the internal temp to a point where the plastic starts to break down.

Thanks mneely, I thought so but just wanted some advise.  I don't think an AMNS will raise the temp too much.  Will check with Todd too.  Thanks again, Steve

Make sure you put a couple frozen packets in there with the smoke that will also make sure the temp doesn't get so hot to melt the plastic.  But I would ask about the plastic melting point, because the last thing you is to eat smoked plastic!!

I don't see why it won't work, as long as you keep any heat away from the plastic

Any Pics?
