Anyone ever use charcoal pellets in a pellet smoker? Just order some said to mix 1/3 charcoal rest regular pellets am excited to try it

No but I’m gonna try a char hickory blend from lumberjack next time I go to rural king. I believe it’s 30% charcoal and 70%wood. It should burn hot I’d say for grilling.

Yeah I have a treager dose not get hot enough to leave great grill marks on my steaks hopefully this gives me the extra boost
 
Go to grillgrates.com and get a set of their grates. This was done at 475 deg on my Mak using their grates. It’s a must have imo if you have a pellet grill.

I definitely want to get those grill grates! I am trying the charcoal pellets this weekend
