I decided to build a smoker. I have a Smoke Hollow propane smoker currently. I'm going to use the element form there, may as well. A wind storm made the cheap thin smoker not good enough right now. I may use the same door, I may make the smoker bigger.

Here is what I'm thinking. I enjoy the propane smoker for how easy it is to control and how long I can leave it without needing to mess with anything. Has anyone done hybrid propane/charcoal builds since I could like to use just charcoal at times. Maybe have the propane light the charcoal in a way?

I have built 5 of them I have one in my back yard I will take a picture tomorrow.  It's easy not much work to do. I can run propane and charcoal at the same time or just one and I also always put a side smoke box on for wood  or indirect cooking
