Tons of scamers out there.
 
Who would do that without a deposit check or a credit card that cleared first?
 
I don't own a resturant so I don't have to worry I guess. But thanks for the info. I do have some friends that own BBQ joints Thou.
 
Precisely - exactly what ^^ said.

First of all, I'm glad the story had a happy ending. However, this fellow should have known as SOON as the subject of money transfer came up.

This is no different than that eBay scams, where the broken English email suggests you transfer the money for shipping to a South African bank account, or whatever...
Thanks for posting this to remind us all that these things still happen. Funny though - this BBQ owner must not spend TOO much time around computers, cuz this scam is an OLD one.
