B&B Post oak and mold

Today I bought some B&B post oak from Academy sports a It in a bag thats hard to see through I opened it up and got a smell of mildew and when a pulled a couple of pices out I think i can see mold on it. The wood smells like it sat in my basement for a year or 2 is this normal for baged wood or B&B? I normally get wood from ACE in mesh bags that you can see through or the BBQ store where you just load up with the amount of lose wood you whant but both are more expensive. what does any one else recommend on wood?
