The smoker was running a little slow yesterday so dinner was late, therefore no finished picture. But wow was it good! Not real spicy just good flavor that everyone enjoyed. Will definitely be adding this to the arsenal of party pleasing smokes.
I've got this on the smoker now. One tip I will add is run the blender a long time to get it to be thin enough to go through the injector needle. This smells amazing already I can't wait to see what a day bathing in hickory smoke does to it.
It's starting to come around... I might not be use to starting so late in the day. Just feels a couple hours behind normal now. Thanks for the reassurance guys.
Running a gas masterbuilt xl smoker (I have used this many times before) I have an extra large water pan and cast iron wood chunk pan.
I trimmed a lot of fat off ( meat had more than usual) but left 1/4 inch in most places. Put on dry rub only. Put it in the smoker about 7:00 last night. Run...
