    I set it to 225 to warm up and then I put the ribs in and then a cup of chips. Temp jumped to 245 I guess just because the chips. Temp is starting to go back down now though.

    Got three spare ribs with three different rubs going in my mes30 in 15 minutes...ecstatic! How often should I load chips and how much chips? Mixing Apple and hickory.

    Wood Chips or Wood Chunks in MES 30"?

    Since the wood chip loader is so small.....how often do you find yourself reloading chips? Do you also have to clean out the ash from the previous load before adding new chips as well?

    Are you able to use the AMNPS and wood chips at the same time? Lets say I wanted to use Hickory pellets in the amnps and cherry wood chips in the loader...am I making more work than necessary or even make a difference? The reason I ask is because I bought two HUGE bags of oak and cheery woods...

    New MES Owner in East Texas

    Howdy Y'all! Just received my MES 30" in the mail yesterday and can't wait to learn from everyone on here. I'm from Gun Barrel City, TX (no I am not making that up) and looking to possibly get into the Bar B Que Circuit up here in the DFW area.
