I am positive internal temp was 155 when i removed it. The high temp cheese, cure and seasoning was all the same, bought at local meat shop, was suppose to be all fresh. The only thing I changed on this 50 lb batch was i used pork callies instead of pork butts. In my opinion the pork callies...

Anyone use auberins plug n play model with 220 VAC

Pretty smooth. I decided not to buy the "international plug" I just rewired the inside of the unit. I removed the 14/2 cord that came with the unit, and replaced it with 14/3. I wired the actual pid back up to 120vac, and rewired the triac mounted inside for 240vac. I kept the "smoke generator"...

MYPIN TA4 PID manual, programming instructions and general PID/SSR info - by request

I have to say I'm impressed with the knowledge of these guys that like to smoke meat. SCR's Triacs, reminds me of my old technician days. There is not a lot of day to day people who know the function and how to test a triac(SSR). This kind of stuff gets me excited.

Anyone use auberins plug n play model with 220 VAC

Just curios if anyone has used one of auberins plug n play models with 220 VAC, The spec sheet says you can. The unit comes with standard 120 VAC plug and receptacle. All 220 VAC stuff Ive ever seen uses different plugs. I know if i build my own I can just wire it up like i want, but I really...

Just finished my new smoker build, need reviews/input.

Ya that sounds good. I need to do some looking around and get some ideas on a "shelf or stand" to put over heating element. My internal temps stay pretty stable, is only about 7 degree difference between top and 3/4 way down, 3-4 degrees from front to sides. If i come up with some sort of shelf...
