Thank you both. Still not sure about the pellet burner purchase but the idea of longer smokes without constant tending to the fire interests me. I still like my old original Oklahoma Joe but would like to have other options too. Too many smokers is never too much! I think I am addicted.
Does anyone know of any decent sources for grilling pellets in NJ? I am considering buying a Rectec but would like to know of availability of fuel. My local Lowes only sells one type and they don't stock much of it. I would like to avoid the cost of shipping from internet sources if possible.
You could try a chuck roast. Don't know where you are located but around here the chuck roasts are usually less expensive than brisket. I have done a number of them and they always turn out well.
