    They aren't using turkey rib cages to make this product.  They are using the wing / bone-in scapula to do it.  "turkey ribs" is a marketing term.

    Kurt, thank you. Just to be clear on your method... 2 charcoal briquettes in the chip tray with no chips, correct? Will the heating element get the briquettes going or do I need to heat prior? If just the heating element, how long do they take to get going in the chip tray? Get them going...

    Bear, thanks for replying. Are you able to cold smoke with the AMNPS without the cold smoked attachment? Would you just have the AMNPS going in the cabinet without the unit plugged in and running? Probably a simple answer but I'm still a bit of a novice with this stuff.

    Thanks guys. Quick question, I was cleaning the inside of the smoker door and these two little rods fell to the ground.  I have no idea where they came from or what they are for.  Has anyone seen these before or know where they go?

    Question... Have any of you tried the traeger pellets with your MES instead of wood chips? If you only use wood hips, do you soak them? Also, are you supposed to have water in the water pan? Or is it only for certain meats? If no water, is it ok to take the water pan out of the smoker...
