    I have a #3, and with my smoker empty and the dial turned to 250* it usually holds at 225*, if crank it past 250* on the dial then it will reach 250*. It seems on mine the dial is 25* lower than stated. Anyone else had this problem?

    Thanks for all the input guys. Hit the stall around 158. Still cooking and it is up to 178.

    Ok, I am smoking 2, 7# butts for the 4th. Had em seasoned yesterday and threw them on at 4:00am this morning with a smoker temp between 225-240. After 5 hours the internal temp is reading 155ish on both butts. Is this cooking to fast? Suggestions much appreciated.

    Hello from Beef Country! Just joined the forum after a lot of lurking. Ton of good information on this site. I currently have a Traeger Pellet Pooper but am going to sell it and just ordered a Smokin-it 3. Can't wait for it to get here. Anyway hello to all!
