Another perfect big ol' juicy butt thread

I like the idea of serving the next day. What is the best way to re-heat it? Do you do it stove top in the Dutch oven? Good looking Q.

    Brisket Flat Q-View

Someone please help me with "crutching it".

    Beef Brisket / Smoker Size

I did...and I learned a valuable lesson - don't cheat on time. I could only find a "flat", so I went with that. Due to not getting it on as early as I needed to, I ended up pulling it about 185 IT and only rested about 30 min. Not very tender, but great taste. As soon as I sliced a few, I...

    brisket injection

Probably a silly question....but with the beef broth based injections, do you heat it all up as you're mixing it before injection or just mix it up as is and then inject? Thanks much.

    Beef Brisket / Smoker Size

Thanks for the pointers. One more question. Did you keep water in the pan the whole time? As mentioned by someone else, the bark looks great. When I did the butt, I kept water in the pan the whole time, but the bark was very moist. Did you mop at all while it smoked?

    Beef Brisket / Smoker Size

Hey Airs, Great looking briset!  I am actually looking to do one in my brinkman electric this weekend.  Did you keep smoke on it the whole time?  I'm brand new to this...have only done a boston butt and pork tenderloin, so this is my first attempt at the brisket...any pointers or lessons...

    Pork Tenderloin

Thanks for the replies. I planned to attempt to smoke them "low and slow", but am using a brinkman electric which doesn't allow much temp control. I assume I'm not looking at a very long smoke if they're only a little over 1 lb each. In that case, would tying them together be a good idea?

    Brand New

Hey all...I'm brand new to SMF as well as the art/science/hobby of smoking. I just got a Brinkman Electric for Father's day and have done a boston butt, which turned out pretty good...except the outside was still very moist - not crunchy like I hoped. It tasted great and I was pleased for a...

    Pork Tenderloin

Failed to get pics, but will try to do so later. I essentially have four pieces that are a little over 1 pound each, instead of two pieces that were supposed to be a little over 2 pounds each.

    Pork Tenderloin

Hey all...I'm brand new to SMF and smoking all together.  I just bought a pack of what I thought was 2 tenderloins - about 4 lbs total.  As I unwrapped them to begin prepping, each one "came apart" into two separate pieces.  Is that normal?  Looks like I now have 4 pieces to smoke, as opposed to...
