    First smoke in my newly built upright freezer conversion: Baby Backs and beans

    This was my first smoke in my freezer conversion.  Was very happy how it turned out, ribs and beans were good, smoker was very consistent.  Only thing I need to do is switch over to chunks instead of chips so I can get more smoke on the meat.

    Building your own racks?

    I am going to build my own smoker out of a fridge and was thinking of building my own racks out of expanded metal.  I was wondering if I need to coat the bare metal or if I smoke it a couple times to season it and would that be a good way to coat in.  How about BBQ paint?

    New guy from Montana/North Dakota

    New guy from the MT/ND border just saying hi.  Just started smoking last summer and got hooked only done pork ribs and pork roasts so far, but cant wait for the weather to get nice again so I can start smoking some different stuff.  Currently using just a little old Coleman propane fired bullet...
