    Well, I guess it is a moot point now, LOL. I found Prime Rib on sale at my local Acme market for $4.77 a pound. I don't even think taking a look at the Mexican roast is going to be worth my while. Thanks for all the responses. I never fail to get my questions answered.

    The raised on Mexico sounds pretty likely. Would it be worth looking at? Or is it just a really cheap piece of meat? Only about a 15 minute drive so if it doesn't look good, really no harm done. Or should I not even bother?

    I am able to get some beef at a great price but I don't need it until later in the month. How long will beef keep in the Cryovac? I can get it this Friday, 7 Dec, but don't need it until the 18th. It goes off-sale while I will be on vacation. Will it keep 10-14 days? Thanks in advance!!!

    What the heck did I buy???

    Thanks for the responses. I'm going with Bears' recommendation for 2 of them, smoking them like ribs. The last one I am probably going to slice it up and try grilling it, hot and fast. I'll let you know how I do.
