Well it seems like about 30 minutes after rotating my smoker on my deck, then moving the tube close to the dampener, the smoke is looking good. Thanks for the quick response S2K. When this tube burns out I'm going to try and replace it with all cherry. There will be a whole Q-VIEW when done...

I'm in Western MA and did my first smoke on a propane last week. It was below 20 degrees that morning and had her dialed in between 225-240 within 30-40 minutes. The knob was set slightly above "medium". I think I'll be smoking for most of the winter. Hope you can too!
