2nd smoke- 13# Brisket- Need Advice on smoke production!

Well it seems like about 30 minutes after rotating my smoker on my deck, then moving the tube close to the dampener, the smoke is looking good.  Thanks for the quick response S2K.  When this tube burns out I'm going to try and replace it with all cherry.  There will be a whole Q-VIEW when done...

2nd smoke- 13# Brisket- Need Advice on smoke production!

So this is my second smoke with my Landmann 3895GWLA.  I've got a whole packer brisket in weighing 13#.  I'm using Todd's 12" tube smoker, currently with 50/50 cherry and peach. I started with just plain Cherry but felt like it was dieing out.  I've microwaved the pellets for 2 minutes, opened...

    First Brisket Since March.. QView

Nice!  I'm debating on using just pepper and salt for my first brisket next week, or a more complex rub.  How much did you get it for per lb?  Do you know if it was USDA choice or select?  I'm trying to find the best deal, seems like $2.79 per lb for USDA select is the best deal near me.  Hope...

    Hello from CT

Hey there, I'm in Western MA and did my first smoke on a propane last week.  It was below 20 degrees that morning and had her dialed in between 225-240 within 30-40 minutes.  The knob was set slightly above "medium".  I think I'll be smoking for most of the winter.  Hope you can too!

Smoked my first pork butt this weekend (w q-view)

Looks tasty!  I did my first smoke last week, but used a picnic shoulder not a butt.  A 10# shoulder only took me 12 hours, with no stall.  I too live in an apartment complex, and was worried about the smoke bothering my neighbors.  I talked to both of my neighbors on either side and gave them...
