I think the hole had to be 7x11 and it dropped rite in.
I looked at the one from northern tool also.
I didn't want to open the door all the time to adjust the burner.
With the gasser the valve is on the outside.

I used a Gasser C-burner.
I thought I could hold a lower heat like 130 or so but now that I have been smoking with it a while,I'm not so sure.On the lowest setting I am at about 170.
But to be honest I haven't tried to do sausage or jerkey. I was actually going to talk to the company...
Yeh, I do my pulled pork at around 225.
But everything I have read on these forums say you should up the temps on the turkey to get the IT up a little faster.

It was almost 14 lbs.
It took just about 7 hours.Held temp at around 250 until internal hit 168. then I pulled it and covered it for about 45 minutes
I brined it the night before for about 13 hours.
Best turkey I ever ate.Could not believe how moist it was .
