    Stalling at 180

    My bad. It was a 8.5lb shoulder. I pulled on the bone it started to come out. I probed the shoulder with the thermometer and it went in with little resistance. I went ahead and pulled it off. My guess is my thermometer is bad. It was a cheap one from Target.

    Good Morning All and a happy 4th! I am new to the forum. I need to know more about the stall with the pork shoulder. I have been stuck at 180 for about an hour and a half. I've been at a consistent 230-240 for 12 hours come 12:15.  Is this normal?
