    I have had a #1 smokin-it for 3 years now. Do you guys think that adding a rub adds that much flavor to the meat. I have tried numerous rubs, that are basically the same, and I don't taste any difference than just smoking the meat without a rub. Just curious if I am missing something, or a rub...

    Pork Butt Question

    Hi...yesterday I tried a 7 to 8 lb pork butt. I have a new Smokin it model 1. I don't have a 732 yet, but have one on order. I used an inexpensive digital Taylor instant read, that I think it is accurate. Put butt on at 2am, and figured about 14 hours. Set smoker to 225, and after about 10 hrs...

    Cookshack smokette model sm008

     Hi...I have a chance to buy this smoker for about $150. It's a 2001 model and supposedly has only been used 2 times. I know the current models go for around $700. Does anyone have any thoughts? I haven't seen it yet, but plan to soon. Thanks in advance for any responses.
