I bought a Silverbac and like it very much! Maybe over thinking potential problems in our summer heat! I can reset the auger speed but would rather not until I find that there is a problem!
I have been smoking food for over 15 years but am new to Pellet Smoking. I live in the Phoenix area and from now until mid September our average temp will be around 105 plus or minus 10 degrees. This is not normally a problem with the Kamado smoker I had but I understand can cause some problems...
I am 1000 miles from the nearest Rural King are you saying if I get a copy of their add and go into my local Dick's they will price match even if the store is 1000 miles away!

I like your cover idea! You said you have the lit end of the a-maze facing the back of the smoker. Are the two 3/4" holes on the end of the cover faceing the back of the smoker also?
I have the 40" with glass door. I do have a question! I read comments from a lot of MES owners that they love their A-Maze-N-Smoker so I bought the Pellet model(the idea sounds great). I can not get this thing to stay lit!!! It seems that my MES is so air tight that the A-Maze-N-Smoker isn't...
