Another batch of BBB with Q-View

Very nice. I did some last weekend. Maybe if this storm passes by us we will have some for breakfast.

Interesting. He definitely looks done and I imagine he tasted wonderful.

    Frendly poll

Ok, I'll be the bad guy and say I buy a lot of stuff online. Almost all of it isn't available in town. Wal-mart is not exactly for people who want to be self sufficient. We don't really have local shops that sell anything. Thomson is made up of fast food restaurants, supermarkets, and car...

    Sourdough Bread

Yes I brush the top with butter. I will try the wheat gluten. Thanks.

    First time--plain old breakfast sausage

No I won't be sticking with the packaged mix--not that it wasn't good--it was but I like to do things as self sufficiently as possible so I want to try several different recipes.

    First time smoking--We did ribs.

Thanks all. The racks didn't fall out when we pulled them out  but then the ribs weren't that big either. I'll keep it in mind though as I do heavier things. I'll check out the wikis thanks. I don't know what ABT's stands for either.

    First time--plain old breakfast sausage

I have got to see some more videos. I just can't get what is going on from a description. I think I will try natural casings next time though.

    First time smoking--We did ribs.

What are wikis? lol. I didn't dare ask. I see too many posts where people are told the answers are all here just "search" for them. Everyone gets tired of answering the same old questions, I guess.

    Sourdough Bread

This was a little beyond crunchy. It was hard to bite into, lol. I did put it in a plastic bag though and the crust is now just chewy instead of hard.

    First time--plain old breakfast sausage

Ok, I understand. Thanks. I was just looking over a video about it. Tying was a real aggravation.

    First time--plain old breakfast sausage

I tried twisting in different directions and I tried the same direction, they just untwisted.

    First time smoking--We did ribs.

Thank you. That was what I was looking for yesterday but never did find. I am sure we will do many more ribs in the future. I also have some whole chickens I want to try and a pork roast.

    First time--plain old breakfast sausage

Besides smoking and bread I made sausage this weekend for the first time. Nothing special just breakfast sausage. I used collagen casings and a mix (Eastman Outdoors) this time hoping to make it easier for myself. I could not for the life of me figure out how to twist the sausage afterwards to...

    Sourdough Bread

I have had this starter going for a little while but had yet to make bread with it. I have made pizza, breader and other things with it but not actual bread. I used one cup starter with 2 cups flour and 2 cups water for the sponge. After it was working good I added a couple tsp. of salt and a...
